Collected by the Inagaki family, the Toba Daimyō from the mid-Edo period to the Meiji Restoration, as materials for military studies. There are about 350 illustrations, but there is no uniformity because only illustrations of castles, illustrations including castle towns, and old battlefield illustrations are mixed.

When attacking Odawara Castle, Toyotomi Hideyoshi has set up on Mt.Ishigaki, where can see Odawara Castle below. About 80 days from the start of construction to completion, the legend of "Ishigakiyama overnight castle" are still handed down.
Upon completion, the trees that had hidden the castle were cut off. A day later, the castle seemed to appear suddenly. Hideyoshi moves his team here when the castle is completed, then a tea ceremony and a dance party were held every day in the castle as if in Odawara Castle to show off. Hideyoshi's army surrounds Odawara Castle and stay waiting. The enemy offers a variety of entertainment during the battle they can see enough room. Hojo's army gradually loses his will to fight with the other party's margin. This is an anecdote that Hojo's side gradually leaned from thorough fighting to surrender.
