"Kojō ezu(picture in Edo Period)" from 国立国会図書館

Collected by the Inagaki family, the Toba Daimyō from the mid-Edo period to the Meiji Restoration, as materials for military studies. There are about 350 illustrations, but there is no uniformity because only illustrations of castles, illustrations including castle towns, and old　battlefield illustrations are mixed.

Another typical example of castle picture in the Edo period exists, "The Shōhō Shiroezu", picture of the castle and castle town that the Edo Shogunate ordered the daimyō to create and submit,aggregating military information such as the buildings inside the castle, the height of the stone wall, the width of the moat and the water depth, etc., it also details the location and shape of the castle town and the mountain river.

	Sakazaki Naomori is known to have helped Tokugawa Ieyasu's grandson, Senhime. However, for this reason, Naomori appealed Senhime to marry to her, but was rejected, and was killed in an attempt to disrupt the marriage of Senhime to another instead. This is the famous "Senhime case".

The family crest was originally created from the pattern that the emperor and the royal family put on the kimono, and the pattern was made into a fixed pattern, and the one attached to his own oxcart is said to be the beginning of the family crest. Sannomaru seen from the ”Hitojichi Yaguradai"

In the middle of the Kamakura period, the Kamakura Shogunate was damaged twice by the Mongolian Impires invaders. Then, Yoshimi Clan who is the president of Noto district, dispatched to there, to strengthen coastal security. Medieval castle built in the late Kamakura period of the Battle of Sekigahara. Sakazaki Clan, who entered the castle , has undergone a major renovation to a modern castle with all stone walls. In addition, the beautiful Tsuwano castle town that remains is maintained by Kamei Clan who entered the castle later. This image ”Sannomaru” seen from the "Hitojichi Yagura . The height of beautiful stone wall is more than 10m and it is built as to protrude south of Honmaru. you can clearly see that it is built on a narrow ridge. It's a worth watching for mountaintop type castle lovers

For strategic reasons, Sakazaki made the Honmaru at the highest point of Mt.Reiki ,built a tower one step down from there, and Kuruwa on the north, west, and south ridges. In addition, Ayabemaru constructed on the farther north . The stone wall is not so high because it is built on the steep terrain on the ridge, but it is majestic that the stairs are connected.

A large vermilion torii gate stands along Route 9 , like a landmark in the town of Tsuwano. It is Made of concrete, height is 18m, pillar diameter is 2m. The size of the hanging frame is about the same size as one room in a single person apartment.
